This vegetable is one of the oldest cultivated crops. The wild plant is native to the Mediterranean region and ancient remains dating to the late Neolithic Period have been found in the Middle East. Most peas are ready to harvest 60 to 70 days after planting . The delicate pods begin to show immature seeds inside. Peas is most commonly the small spherical seed or the seed-pod of the pod fruit Pisum sativum. Each pod contains several peas, which can be green or yellow. Peas are mostly boiled and people mostly eat it like that.
