This vegetable can easily be grown in the cooler areas of North and West Texas. The areas can also be grown in Dallas and Houston. It is best to plant it during the early-spring to get the best results. Planting it in the mild winters and extremely long hot summers which can produce poorly. Asparagus is a vegetable that comes from the Asparagaceae family. It’s low in calories and a great source of nutrients including fiber, folate and vitamins A,C and K. It helps lose weight and improves digestion. Asparagus is mostly eaten by itself but people either grilled or broiled it to eat it on the side after their meals.
